The following gallery is from dinner at Citricos at the Grand Floridian on April 27, 2013. The food was delicious, Ray’s serving skills were unparalleled, the drinks were perfect, and the setting was beautiful. I will return to Citricos, and I hope you give it a shot as well.
Pictures were taken with a Canon T3i using both 28 and 50mm lenses. @hintofspy was my dinner date, which allowed me to get pics of twice as many different dishes.
I hope you enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed taking them!
We were the first table in..
Beautiful lighting at the host stand.
A very nice waiting area near the bar.
No view is bad here.
Rotisserie meat is a specialty here.
Cook in motion…
I miss standing there, running a kitchen… stupid ankle.
View from dinner.
Our amuse-bouche. Absolutely delicious, despite forgetting what it was. It doesn’t matter, though, since yours will be different.
A lovely dinner companion.
Arancini. A nice twist: contains some italian sausage.
Yup, beatuiful view still there.
I can’t get over the lighting.
@hintofspy ‘s salad… perfectly-poached egg.
Citricos is really fun and festive. It’s not stuffy at all, as the prices and menu would make you believe.
The bar was hopping later. There are a few bottles that’ll cost you in the thousands…
…look how thick it is.
Butter with citrus-infused salt.
Olive loaf and 9-grain bread.
Yup. STILL THERE.
Citropolitan. Loved it.
Pork three ways. Pork belly, roasted loin, and bacon.
Look. LOOK AT THE #FOODPORN.
@hintofspy got the famous short ribs.
The mashed potators are always a favorite of mine at Disney restaurants. Unfortunately, these were just… plain. They were good, don’t get me wrong, but nothing special.
Their most famous dessert. Allegedly the most-photographed dessert on WDW property. Banana chocolate torte.
A dining room in full swing.
Chef Juan cheesin’ for the camera. Super nice guy, let me interrupt his kitchen. :)
I love kitchens…
…there’s an art to a well-run kitchen.
Dessert sorbet trio up at the dessert kitchen.
Look at that oven… beautiful.
Hard at work.
Something for everyone at Citricos.
Look at the embers.
Ready for work. Seriously, so much silverware is used at Citricos.
More of the lights I love.
Beautiful tile mosaic floor.
