Last Christmas at Camp Minnie-Mickey

Welcome back,

As most of you know, Camp Minnie-Mickey at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is now closed to make way for construction of the new AVATAR-themed area of the park. I was fortunate enough this year to visit Camp Minnie-Mickey just before Christmas and also on its last day of operation: January 5th, 2013. I guess that means the title of this post is a pun… this last Christmas was Camp Minnie-Mickey’s last Christmas.

I love Christmastime at Camp – the characters are dressed up in their holiday finery, many of your favorite characters have their own trees, and little touches like topping the lampposts with snow abound. Sadly, I noticed that a few of last year’s trees were missing – Donald’s being the most obvious.

I’ve broken the 197 photos in today’s post into separate mini galleries, chosen by subject matter. I hope you enjoy them and see fit to share them if you do!

Happy new year,

Thanks so much for your beautiful pictures! They helped me label our own pics from this past Christmas–feel so blessed that our first Christmas in Disney happened to be the last for Camp Minnie Mickey!

    1. I’m happy you liked the pictures. I hope when Pandora is built, it is beautiful and will be full of new memories just waiting to be made.
