Welcome, Sorcerers!
Today you’re going to see some pictures of Joey saving the Magic Kingdom from certain peril at the hands of Hades and his band of Disney Villains. Make sure to check out Melissa’s in-depth review and giveaway over at Mouse on the Mind. This is the fourth of a four-part series documenting the in-park games at Walt Disney World. Make sure you check out our previous posts about Perry the Platypus, pirates, and exploring the wilderness.
Click the photos below to embiggen, and to see captions for some of them. Photos were taken by Melissa and by me. All photos were processed in Aperture for OS X.
Enjoy!

You may notice something different about the Magic Kingdom firehouse lately…
Something very different.
There’s a banner… what’s it say?
Ah! A community event is happening here!
I love the fire station.
Adorning the doors of the firehouse are these posters.

Patches are still on display at the firehouse.
Tons of patches from departments across the country.
Now recruiting!
Our wonderful Cast Member who helped us learn how to save the Magic Kingdom.

Not part of the game – but the addition of SotMK has started forcing traffic to pass these lovely windows and that makes me happy.

TAKE THAT!
The Portals are so well hidden when they’re not active.
Cruella, Cruella De Vil…
You did it!
One of the two cameras found at every Portal – these read the designs on your spell cards.
Inside the Main Street Gallery.
The cameras are very cleverly hidden in the portraits on either side of the Portal itself.
Under the Main Street Train Station.
I would like to buy this as a coin.

The Portal just outside Sir Mickey’s.
The cameras are in the designs just below the arch on the borders of this Portal.
The Portal between Philharmagic and Cinderella Castle.
This Portal is on the west side of Cinderella Castle, tucked in the little alcove across from where the Fairy Godmother often meets with guests.
The Liberty Square Recruitment Center is found just south of the Christmas Shoppe.
Frontierland Portal – close to Liberty Tree Tavern.
Adventureland Portal nearest Aloha Isle Refreshments.
I accidentally sent Joey back through time – my bad.
This Portal is under the awning just across from Swiss Family Treehouse.
Unfortunately, the halves of the lamp have come unaligned and show that there’s a screen between them for a projection effect.

Love how the smoke comes from the lamp to show the Portal.
This Portal is over at the Sunshine Tree Terrace.
Merlin on vacation!
Joey preparing to do battle.
The Portal by Pirates of the Caribbean.
Swoosh.
The Tortuga Tavern hosts one of my favorite Portals – in a mystic, enchanted fireplace.
Joey getting it done.
The enchanted coals of the Tortuga Tavern fireplace.
Just outside Frontierland Trading Post is another Portal.
Very well hidden!
This Portal is incredibly well-themed and hides off to the left of the Shootin’ Arcade in Frontierland.
Skulls aren’t supposed to do that, are they?
Just south of the Liberty Belle’s dock, you will find this Portal in Liberty Square.
The curtains retract…
…to reveal a Portal.
Activate!
The final Portal I will share with you is near the outdoor food/seating area just west of Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square..
Just like the Liberty Belle Portal, this one also features retracting curtains.
In the lower right, you can see a camera for the game tucked into a barn.
Sorry, you’re at the wrong Portal, sorcerer!
