Sanaa: The Best Restaurant You Haven’t Visited

Gari langu linaloangama limejaa na mikunga!

Animal Kingdom is my favorite park. It only makes sense that Animal Kingdom Lodge is my favorite Disney resort. I have spent entire three-day weekends at Animal Kingdom Lodge without ever setting foot in the parks. Animal Kingdom Lodge offers so much to do and see: beautiful savannas, amazing pools, movies, cultural exchanges/programming, marshmallow roasting, fire pits, and – of course – three spectacular restaurants.

Boma, Jiko, and Sanaa are wonderful places to grab a bite of African fare that Disney has not Disney-fied. Sanaa, I think, is my favorite of these three restaurants due to the beautiful vistas outside the window, the seating that encourages socialization, and the moderately-priced food. The photos below are from probably a dozen different trips – I apologize if any menu items are no longer available or if the mixture of animals outside has changed. I also cheated a little bit and took photos of the path you will walk to get to Sanaa – it really sets the mood at Kidani Village.

I hope you enjoy the photo galleries, check out Melissa’s review of Sanaa Lounge (my favorite spot to hide out at WDW), and make sure to visit this secret little hideaway next time you’re in Africa!
